Motorclassica 2015
Australasia’s premier automotive extravaganza for rare and exotic, historic, vintage, veteran, classic and collectable cars and motorcycles is set for an exciting sixth year. Motorclassica, to be staged once again at Melbourne’s magnificent 19th-century Royal Exhibition Building over the weekend of October 23-25, 2015, will be a celebration of enthusiasm for all things automotive and the automotive lifestyle.
More than 100 exquisite cars and 50 motorcycles will be displayed throughout the historic halls of Australia’s original parliament house, with a further 200 or more on show each day in the Club Sandwich car-club displays alongside the main hall.
For the 2015 show, Motorclassica will celebrate 50 years of Supercars — beginning with a special display celebrating the legendary Lamborghini Miura – while another display will mark five decades of Ferrari’s beautiful Dino.
For two-wheeled enthusiasts, Motorclassica highlights 70 years of the iconic Italian motorcycling marque, MV Agusta.
As Australasia’s only internationally-recognized collector car and motorcycle event, Motorclassica draws an ever-increasing audience from both sides of the Tasman and further afield.
Entry is by application only, ensuring a display of Australasia’s most significant and valuable cars and motorcycles, and these will compete again this year for prestigious Australian International Concours d’élégance honours.
There’s also an annual auction of 30 hand-picked collector cars and motorcycles, plus 100 items of automotive memorabilia going under the auctioneer’s hammer. And that’s not forgetting the annual Tour Classica, an event in itself, in which select entrants parade through the streets of Melbourne to the Exhibition Building to officially kick off the 2015 event.
