ON THE BUSES
For those interested in public transport, we spotted this rather nicelooking 1:43 Corgi model of an MCW Metrobus. For those not into bus lore, these doubledecker people carriers were built by Metro Cammell Weyman, first appearing in 1977, with over 4000 being built until they were replaced by the MKII in 1989. This Corgi model — listed as a No. 55 Evington, Leicester example — boasts an advertising banner for Batchelor Bowles, a Hinckley and Leicesterbased Vauxhall, Bedford and Opel dealer. Corgi/ Vanguards models are available from all good toy and hobby shops. Contact Toymod Ltd (PO Box 18 263, Auckland, ph. 09 527 0122 / fax 09 527 0144) to find your closest retailer.
