nspired by some of our previous classic Mazda features, Ryan Dunn’s set about the rebuild of a rare New Zealand–new 1972 Mazda R100. The car was purchased after being in storage for 18 years and is now undergoing a transformation back to perfection.

Making the process easier is the fact that it came complete with most parts, including the original 10A engine, although, at this stage, a higher-powered 12A is set to be installed.

But the look will be 100-percent original, with the factory paint colour being reapplied and the original hub caps also fitted. Likewise, the interior will be returned to factory.

We look forward to watching this build progress, as cars like this are, sadly, few and far between these days.
