DTM REINVENTS TYRE BUYING

DTM Wheel and Tyre has launched Gruzo, a website dedicated to finding the best option for specific cars and customer requirements. DTM has decades of tyre and wheel sales experience, and is using that knowledge to make tyre buying easy by bringing its dealer network directly to the customer.

Choosing appropriate tyres can be a very time-consuming process, often involving a lot of trial and error with the overwhelming choice of brands and models. This is a problem that DTM sought to solve with its new website, gruzo.co.nz.

DTM Wheel and Tyre’s general manager, Craig Wylde, explains, “Gruzo delivers a number of benefits to consumers … they have the opportunity to research and make an important, informed decision while choosing a local installer of their choice. Gruzo delivers that connection, acting as an extension of our dealer network’s business.”

Buyers who are unsure of the right tyre for their car can use the Gruzo Tyre Shopping Assistant to find the best option. Gruzo will ask buyers questions, including what their current tyre dimensions are, what sort of car they drive, about the various conditions they drive in, and a selection of what’s important to them when choosing a tyre. It will then present buyers with a series of tyres that best match their needs based on the responses given, and utilizes an integrated fitment guide to achieve this.

If the buyer has a little more tyre knowledge, they can choose to start shopping by the All Tyres, Tyres by Brand, or Tyres on Sale categories. Shopping by All Tyres or Tyres by Brand gives the option of adding a different tyre size to the order for staggered sizing.

Gruzo provides the option of selecting a local accredited tyre installer from its nationwide partner network. Timely delivery to the selected Gruzo dealer is included free in the purchase.

“It was important to give consumers the option of choosing their preferred local tyre retailer to fit their new tyres. Our local Gruzo partners are an integral part of the Gruzo experience. They provide consumers with a face-to-face service component to their online purchase,” said Craig.
