1964 BRANDNEW OLD BEETLE
In Vancouver, Canada, a ‘brand-new’ old VW has turned up. The original owner had bought the car as a spare but obviously never needed it. The car had been sitting in storage for over 50 years, the original owner long gone. When the fortunate new owner checked it out, he found that he had inherited this virtually brand-new Beetle, with its odometer ticking over from 22 to 23 miles as they shifted it out of storage. The car had been covered, and so both interior and exterior were in as-new condition. It’s now for sale for almost NZ$2M — making this car quite a long way from Hitler’s original intention for the model.
