9–24 March 2019 Ford Capri 50th Anniversary Run, Cape Reinga to Bluff
From Cape Reinga to Bluff, this event is to celebrate 50 years of Ford Capris. Anyone is able to participate in this two-week-long event, Capri or not. The last time the Capri club ran one of these events, for the 40th anniversary, over 100 cars took part at some stage. This time, the tour route will stick to the West Coast and include some of the great roads of our country, such as the Forgotten Highway.
The tour will be punctuated by visits to private and public vehicle collections along the way. Places like the National WOW Museum and Nelson Classic Car Collection and Bill Richardson Transport World in Invercargill are on the schedule. There’ll be a break of a few days in Nelson and another in Central Otago, where the tour will also visit Highlands Motorsport Park for a few laps and some photo opportunities.
Entries have already been received for 35 cars, but there’s plenty of room left for more.
