MELBOURNE’S 10TH MOTORCLASSICA CELEBRATES CENTENARIES
Australasia’s premier annual exhibition of classic cars and motorbikes will take place in Melbourne’s Royal Exhibition Building 11–13 October 2019.
Motorclassica hosts the Australian International Concours d’elegance, which expects to draw 150 vehicles onto the polished wooden boards of the world heritage exhibition building. Another 200 car club cars and motorcycles will also be on show outside in the Club Sandwich, plus 30 modern supercars from Lorbek Luxury Cars. One hundred years of Bentley, Alvis, and Citroën will also be celebrated at the show while arguably the most recognizable car in the world, the Mini, will be honoured for its 60 years. The rising sun at this show will be the increasingly collectible examples of Japanese cars that reinvented the concept of sports cars for the modern world.
In 2019, Motorclassica will celebrate its landmark 10th event, which will include the return of the Live Restoration Theatre. Serious enthusiasts will enjoy the opportunity to witness aspects of vehicle restoration performed live on site across the three days with multiple experts on hand to answer questions and demonstrate techniques. On the Motorclassica central stage a series of special guests will educate and entertain show goers with interactive sessions and presentations.
