$150,000 ono

Sold new in the UK in 1976, this Pininfarina-styled 4.4-litre, 254kw, V12-powered, five-speed manual continental cruiser is one of only 133 righthand-drive examples built. It has undergone major restoration work in its life and comes complete with receipts for $276K worth of revisions. Recent work includes an overhaul of the air-conditioning system, servicing and tuning of the six double-choke Webers, servicing of the distributors, and new brake lines, spark plugs, HT leads, battery, hightorque starter motor, and exhaust manifolds. The correct Michelin XWX tyres have also been fitted. All filters and fluids have been replaced — the list goes on. A complete list and receipts are available.

The Queenstown car has been driven only 15,000 miles (24140km) since a restoration in the UK. It is a reliable, very straight, and very well-maintained car. The owner is selling to make way for a 1969 Lambo.

The 3/13 long-wheelbase Trekka. Between 1966 and 1973, nearly 3000 of these Kiwi icons were manufactured. The Trekka was the only ever New Zealand– designed and mass-manufactured vehicle. This incredible example was fully restored in 2015. That year, it finished a commendable fifth in the Masters Class competition at the 2015 Ellerslie Intermarque Concours d’elegance.

This Trekka is in flawless condition in every way. It’s a true museum piece — or you can enjoy driving it, when you’re not in a hurry to get somewhere. The Trekka sits on a Skoda Octavia chassis and inline-four 1221cc engine. Relatively few Trekkas survive and this example is certainly the best. The Trekka and its story are becoming increasingly recognized as a part of Kiwiana – a uniquely New Zealand legend that can be yours.
