Bris­bane Li­ons player Dayne Zorko will be vis­it­ing six North Bur­nett schools to­mor­row and Fri­day to en­cour­age kids to get ac­tive and par­tic­i­pate in AFL.

Zorko will also be in­tro­duc­ing kids to the NAB Auskick pro­gram and pro­mot­ing the AFLX style footy comp be­ing run in Term 3 for un­der-12 mixed and un­der-15 girls at Gayn­dah State School.

“Dayne is a fan­tas­tic am­bas­sador for our game, we are look­ing for­ward to giv­ing our Wide Bay AFL com­mu­nity the op­por­tu­nity to meet him this week,” AFL Queens­land CEO Dean War­ren said.

Bin­jour Plateau, Mun­du­berra, Gayn­dah, Biggen­den, St Josephs, Gayn­dah and Coal­stoun Lakes will all re­ceive vis­its from the ath­lete.

The best op­por­tu­nity for fans to meet Zorko will be at

Gayn­dah State School to­mor­row from 3.30pm to 4.45pm when he will be hav­ing a kick.

“Pro­mot­ing ju­nior par­tic­i­pa­tion by get­ting out to see kids in schools is im­por­tant to us here at AFL Queens­land,” Mr War­ren said.

“We are pleased to be able to sup­port our pro­grams in Wide Bay through our ded­i­cated full time staff mem­ber Kyle Po­vah, based in Her­vey Bay.”
