Project key to growing economy

NewsMail - - YOUR SAY - ADAM WRATTEN Editor

THE developers behind a controversial high-rise development proposed at Bargara have responded to a Bundaberg Regional Council request for more information.

As is their right, it looks like the response is light on detail about any changes to the proposed nine-storey height.

This is a big project for the region and there would be plenty of eyes watching to see what the outcome is. If it was to go ahead, it would send a clear message that Bundy is open for business.

Since the application was first lodged there has been strong community interest, with many divided about the best way forward.

While I can appreciate the arguments on both sides, I would like to see the green light given as the benefits it would bring and the potential for more to come down the track would be positive for the region. It is now in the hands of our community leaders to determine what happens.

Whichever way they go, not everyone will be happy.
