2 NOOSA RIVER ▷ 1.7km from the Noosa Yacht and Row­ing Club to the last boat hire

Start | 142 Gympie Tce, Noosav­ille.

The path from one end of the river to the other is right on the wa­ter and ex­tremely pop­u­lar for walk­ers and run­ners. A par­tic­u­larly good walk to do on sun­rise and sun­set. Flat

3 NOOSA NA­TIONAL PARK ▷ Ap­prox­i­mately 2.5km from the first rock wall

Start | Park Rd, Noosa Heads. Fol­low the board­walk from the first rock groyne along Noosa beach, up past Lit­tle Cove and into the na­tional park. One of the most iconic Sun­shine Coast walks.

Mostly flat with the odd hill here and there

4 COOLUM ▷ 2km from Coolum Surf Club to Point Ark­wright look­out

Start | David Low Way, Coolum Beach. Wan­der up the board walk from the Coolum Surf Club, pass­ing each of the Coolum bays be­fore you fin­ish at Point Ark­wright. The ma­jor­ity of the walk is fully-lit so you can do it at night as well. Up­hill

5 MT COOLUM ▷ 1.6km re­turn

Start | Tanah St West, just off the David Low Way. Take a chal­leng­ing walk to the sum­mit where there are spec­tac­u­lar 360 de­gree views of the coastal area, in­clud­ing Point Cartwright and the Glass House Moun­tains. Up­hill and then down­hill


Start | Brad­man Ave, Ma­roochy­dore. Take a walk from the dog park on Brad­man Av­enue right along the river to up near the boat ramp. The per­fect walk to take your dog along. Flat Walk through the Bud­erim For­est towards the wa­ter­fall. The 700m long wooden board­walk is wheel­chair friendly but it then ends and turns to bush un­til the track reaches the wa­ter­falls and rock pools.



Start | Alex Beach Surf Club. Fol­low the path up and over The Bluff and into Mooloolaba then along Mooloolaba Beach to the surf club. En­joy the views at the top of the headland at Alex.

Up­hill for the first half and then down­hill


Walk along the wa­ter from Kawana Surf Club right up to the light­house at Point Cartwright and then en­joy the spec­tac­u­lar views from the headland. Mostly flat

10 MAROOCHY BOTAN­I­CAL GAR­DENS ▷ Dis­tance varies

There’s eight dif­fer­ent walks you can take through the gar­dens: La­goon Walk, Fern Glade Walk, Mossy Log Walk, Whip­bird Walk, Sculp­ture Gar­den Walk, Ephemeral Wet­land Walk, Creek Walk and the Up­land Bush­walk. There’s one to suit all ages and abil­i­ties. Mostly flat

11 CURRIMUNDI LAKE ▷ 1.4km one way

Take a stroll along the south­ern shore­line of Currimundi Lake be­tween Gam­ban Es­planade and the beach or walk through to Kath­leen McArthur Con­ser­va­tion Park on the north side. Flat

12 KIN KIN COUN­TRY­SIDE ▷ 14km cir­cuit

Walk through the charm­ing coun­try­side of the Noosa hin­ter­land start­ing along Wah­punga Lane. Pass through mango farms, rolling hills. Stop for a break at ei­ther Shep­per­sons Park or Gradys Park. This trail is ideal for bird watch­ing. Mostly flat

13 MOF­FAT BEACH TO KINGS BEACH ▷ 1.5km one way

Take the coastal walk up and over the headland at Mof­fat Beach to Kings Beach and en­joy the views of the wa­ter the whole way.

Mostly flat with a small up­hill sec­tion


This path runs along Caloundra’s beaches from Bells Creek in the south, all the way to Point Cartwright in the north. Walk it all or just walk a smaller sec­tion. En­joy the view of some of the Coast’s best beaches. Mostly flat

15 BAROON LOOK­OUT ▷ 4.4km one way

Start | Nar­rows Rd, just 10 min­utes from Montville. Nar­rows Look­out has views over the Nar­rows Gorge and the Baroon Look­out for views of the Obi Obi Gorge, Baroon Pocket Dam.

16 EU­MUNDI RE­GIONAL PARK ▷ 2.3km, 3.6km, 4km and 5.1km

There’s four dif­fer­ent walk­ing tracks through the Eu­mundi Re­gional Park that ex­plore the bush­land, dams, creeks and forests. There’s one to suit the kids all the way up to the most ex­pe­ri­enced bush­walk­ers. EASY/IN­TER­ME­DI­ATE Flat and hilly tracks

17 KONDALILLA FALLS ▷ 2.4km, 3.2km or 4.6km tracks

Walk­ers can choose one of three tracks that run through the rain­for­est towards the wa­ter­falls: the easy 2.4km Pic­nic Creek Cir­cuit, the mod­er­ate 3.2km Rock Pools Walk or the more chal­leng­ing 4.6km Kondalilla Falls Cir­cuit.

Mount Beer­bur­rum (1.4km), Mount Ngun­gun (2.8km), Mount Ti­brog­a­r­gan (3.3km) If you’re feel­ing ad­ven­tur­ous then why not take a walk up one of the Glass House Moun­tains. There’s bril­liant views from the top of each one.
