PUB GRUB WITH A NOOSA TWIST

-

THAT’S right, our local venues have put their own gourmet spin on pub food classics and we know you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

One example is the Reef Hotel at Noosa (on the hill halfway between Hastings St and Noosa Junction) that offers an elegant interior, extensive menu and amazing panoramic ocean views. The Laguna Bar and Bistro has a sun-soaked deck, which is the perfect place to enjoy modern Australian cuisine at affordable pub prices.

Downstairs, Flanagan’s Irish Bar offers Guinness and Kilkenny on tap alongside a menu of traditional Irish fare with great daily specials. Plus there’s plenty of parking.

A short drive south is the Peregian Beach Hotel, which specialises in fresh local produce, including seafood, and offers a wide range of pizzas and other classics.

Tuesday Night Steak Nights are worth a visit: $18 for a 250g local grass-fed rump in a pink pepper cream sauce with chips and salad.

The region’s surf clubs – at Noosa, Sunshine Beach and Coolum – also offer amazing and affordable food with fabulous ocean views from their beach-front positions.
