THE GREAT SAVANNAH EXPERIENCE
Ifell in love with Africa on my first visit in 1976, now I find myself enthusiastically sharing the Africa experience with as many people as possible through our African wildlife safari business – Ucango On Safari. My wife Jacky and I run the business from our home near Cooroy. We meet our clients either at their home, their favourite cafe or our Maroochydore office. We offer this personalised mobile service to anyone living between Brisbane and Gympie, and boy do we love it. We get to live here on the beautiful Sunshine Coast and chat with some terrific people about the wonders of Africa. Some of our clients want to join one of our specialist small group safaris, others want us to create a bespoke safari for them, which may be anything from self-drive camping to the most luxurious lodges available. They may want to know where to find certain species of animals or particular cultures or geographical features. Our clients – often repeat or referred by friends – will phone us or drop us an email specifying what they want to see and when, and then after a chat over coffee and cake we make it happen for them. Often clients (who frequently become our good friends), find themselves thinking about their next safari even before they’ve finished the first. Africa does that to you. It calls you back time after time.
