P-plater drove while drunk

A MERRIWA P-plater was driv­ing drunk and did not have his pro­ba­tion­ary plates show­ing when po­lice stopped his ve­hi­cle in Clarkson. Emanuel Mabior Matur Mayuen did not ap­pear in Joon­dalup Mag­is­trates Court on June 29 when he was con­victed of driv­ing with a blood al­co­hol con­tent (BAC) ex­ceed­ing 0.08. Mayuen was found to have a BAC of 0.089 when of­fi­cers tested him on May 6. Mag­is­trate Deen Pot­ter fined him $500 for drink-driv­ing, $100 for not show­ing his Pplates and sus­pended his li­cence for six months.
