THERE often comes a time in summer where you want to escape your hot kitchen, or head out on a sunny picnic with the family.
If this is you, then Roksalt Fish and Chippery in Bright should be your destination.
Located in Shop 4/1a Camp Street in Bright, the shop has been a local institution for a number of years, but has been run by lifelong Bright resident Raph Baris for almost three years.
Roksalt offers fresh, handcut chips, seafood and other fast food treats with a difference, including tempura carrots and asparagus, fresh fish, homemade sauces, homemade fish cakes and much more.
All tempura items are gluten free, to cater for those who are coeliacs or are gluten intolerant. All items are fried in vegetable oil. For those who prefer a lighter option, Roksalt’s signature garden salad is very popular with locals and visitors alike, and flies out the door during the summer months.
The shop is currently taking orders for Christmas seafood.
Roksalt Fish and Chippery is open WednesdayMonday, but closed Tuesday, but during school holidays is open seven days a week.
