Win­ter mu­sic fes­ti­val re­turns to Beech­worth

THE town of Beech­worth comes alive ev­ery Au­gust to the sounds of ban­jos, man­dolins, fid­dles and and gui­tars as the Kelly Coun­try Pick, an an­nual Blue­grass and Old Timey mu­sic fes­ti­val re­turns from Au­gust 21-23.

Now in its 17th year, what be­gan as a small gath­er­ing of mu­si­cal friends has de­vel­oped into a mu­sic fes­ti­val which draws mu­si­cians and lovers of acous­tic mu­sic from all over the coun­try.

Events now take place in four iconic Beech­worth venues over the weekend – the Old Pri­ory, the Bridge Rd Brew­ery, and the Hi­ber­nian and Ni­cholas Ho­tels.

Pa­trons can buy a va­ri­ety of tick­ets to suit their needs – from weekend passes to in­di­vid­ual con­cert or work­shop tick­ets.

The Kelly Coun­try Pick presents a jam packed weekend of con­certs, work­shops, open mic ses­sions and jam­ming op­por­tu­ni­ties for mu­si­cians of all lev­els.

Come along and en­joy the at­mos­phere in his­toric Beech­worth this win­ter – cosy open fires, wine and dine with friends and be en­ter­tained by some of Aus­tralia’s finest string play­ers.

Or get in­volved – go to a work­shop, vol­un­teer for a free weekend ticket, or join in the Sun­day morn­ing gospel singing in the Pri­ory gar­den.
