Welcome to the Autumn issue of the North East Tourist News 2016
THERE are few better places to enjoy autumn than right here in the North East.
Whether it’s meandering along the leafy streets of beautiful Bright, or soaking up the mild and crisp autumn weather at a winery, café or even a leafy public park, this season is a great time to appreciate all that this region offers.
The autumn months are also a time when the region is showcased with a diverse selection of festivals, highlighting everything from music to food, wine, and produce.
Some of the dazzling array of local festivals include the Beechworth’s Golden Horseshoes festival, the Bright Autumn Festival, and Tastes of Rutherglen.
The region’s beautiful lakes, rivers, fabulous mountain walks and premier cycle rail trails also come into their own at this time of year.
It’s always a good idea to drop into your local visitor information centre for helpful advice on upcoming events and other opportunities to maximise your stay.
