Enjoy the 1950s vibe and more in Tallangatta
THE bouncy, infectious sounds and sights of yesteryear will once again rule Tallangatta this spring as part of the Tallangatta Fifties Festival on October 29-30.
With events covering everything from markets to music performances and dances, and even a show and shine, there will be plenty to do to keep the whole family amused.
The schedule is packed with great performers, including Wilbur Wilde and the Trouble Makers, and The Rockin Daddys.
Vocalist and saxman, Wilbur Wilde has been a fixture on the Australian Rock ‘n’ Roll music scene since Ol’55 got together in Sydney in 1975.
Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons occupied another four years before he joined the cast of Hey Hey It’s Saturday for sixteen years.
Meanwhile, the Rockin Daddys are a Melbourne based Rockabilly band that has quickly become one of the most in demand Rockabilly bands in Australia.
The band currently comprises Cliff Jolly (Cliffy) on lead vocals, Ben Guest (The Undertaker) on lead guitar, Robby Sharrock (Slap) on slap bass and Frankie Dabaco (Boom Boom) on drums.
