Pet food donation set to be distributed

North West Telegraph - - News - Robert Dougherty

Hedland’s canines can rest easy in the near future, with Saving Animals From Euthanasia Hedland receiving a ute-load of pet food donated by Perth’s PetRescue.

SAFE Hedland’s Michelle Sellwood said the food could be distributed to the community through SAFE and Pilbara Meta Maya Regional Aboriginal Corporation

“We get donations from PetRescue and we have a wonderful mob with RGR Transport that brings up all our food from Perth free of charge, and our crates as well free of charge — it’s good to give some back to the community,” she said.

“We are relying on foster carers and volunteers because we don’t have a shelter.

“Pilbara Meta Maya Regional Aboriginal Corporation can take it out to the communities to feed dogs there. It’s just a good way to give back to the community.”
