Kieran Harding and Kieren Sparks add a splash of colour to this year’s Hedland Carols.

Hedland residents and visitors flocked down and gathered for the annual Hedland Carols event in Port Hedland over the weekend.

Around 1500 people attended the C3 Church Port Hedland showcase of singing, dancing and Christmas spirit at the McGregor Street Oval.

The evening included a very special pit stop from Santa at the event on Sunday, December 9.

Co-hosts Elise Batchelor and David Eckhart ran the show from the main stage, with crosses to C3 Port Hedland senior minister David Hooper, who painted a three wise men-inspired mural throughout the night.

Families also had the chance to shop at market stalls, try water slides, a spinning teacup ride and a kids’ gladiator duel.

As well as Malaysian and Filipino cuisine, there were donuts, burgers, pizza and a firm children’s favourite, glowing fairy floss.
