Gifts give Hedland’s foster kids a little ray of sunshine
Foster children across Hedland are set to receive extra festive cheer this year with a local appeal for Christmas presents.
Up to 200 presents were organised for foster children aged 12 and under in Port and South Hedland by a partnership of MacKillop Family Services and Ray White Port Hedland, as part of the A Little Ray of Giving national campaign.
RWPH office manager Dianne Lovell said all staff were involved, with plenty of welcomed community donations including a bag of presents donated by Just Phone Maintenance’s Adell Gerber.
“We like to put a smile on their faces; they’re deserving and it gets all the staff get involved,” she said.
“It’s part of the office with everyone helping put up the Christmas tree and donating gifts.
“Anyone in the community can donate.
“Ray White would like to thank Des Maloney, from Hedland Emporium, who donated two large boxes of toys.”
