Lis­more Gem­fest is the big­gest an­nual event in the coun­try ded­i­cated to lap­idary and as­so­ci­ated arts.

On May 19–20, The Lis­more Showgrounds be­comes a gem stone fos­sicker’s par­adise, with ev­ery­thing from rough stone for cut­ting, through to fin­ished jew­ellery in all price ranges, along with min­eral spec­i­mens, fos­sils, gold nuggets and me­te­orite dis­plays.

There are gem siev­ing ac­tiv­i­ties for chil­dren, demon­stra­tions of jew­ellery mak­ing and other craft ac­tiv­i­ties.

Casino’s an­nual cel­e­bra­tion of the Aus­tralian beef in­dus­try and the ru­ral way of life is on again from May 19–29.

The 11-day fes­ti­val pro­vides en­ter­tain­ment, ed­u­ca­tion and an au­then­tic coun­try ex­pe­ri­ence for the whole fam­ily.

There are more than 100 vi­brant events to en­joy, in­clud­ing a fash­ion pa­rade, art ex­hi­bi­tion, ru­ral ladies high tea, a quilt dis­play and the Beef Week Cup horse races.
