Want to learn how to crochet, improve your skills, show off your work or simply relax and have a chat with fellow crocheters?
Lismore Crochet Crafternoon Group is a monthly meet-up for crocheters 16 years and over of all skill levels.
Supplies are provided for first-time learners, there are free learn-to-crochet lessons for beginners, demonstrations and free patterns available. Entry gold coin donation.

Lismore Gemfest is the biggest annual event in the country dedicated to lapidary and associated arts.
On May 19–20, The Lismore Showgrounds becomes a gem stone fossicker’s paradise, with everything from rough stone for cutting, through to finished jewellery in all price ranges, along with mineral specimens, fossils, gold nuggets and meteorite displays.
There are gem sieving activities for children, demonstrations of jewellery making and other craft activities.

BEEF IT UP
Casino’s annual celebration of the Australian beef industry and the rural way of life is on again from May 19–29.
The 11-day festival provides entertainment, education and an authentic country experience for the whole family.
There are more than 100 vibrant events to enjoy, including a fashion parade, art exhibition, rural ladies high tea, a quilt display and the Beef Week Cup horse races.
