It would be easy to spend an entire morning or afternoon combing through the vast collection of old and new in Adornments Lismore.
Every nook and cranny of this of this vintage lifestyle store at 99 Keen St is filled with treasures, from vintage clothing, antiques and collectables, to new and fresh interior design and fashion pieces. Each item is hand-picked by owners Christine Miller or her husband Robert, who both have a fine-tuned eye for style. They’ve spent more than two decades dealing in collectables, including 14 years in the fashionable retro shopping precinct of Paddington in Brisbane and three years in Alstonville.
"Our ability to source interesting and affordable pieces set us apart from other businesses,” says Christine.
“We are constantly refreshing the look of the store and shoppers appreciate the calm, ambient atmosphere to 'escape' to and browse, often finding a great gift or item for themselves."
Adornments’ eclectic range includes everything from vintage jewellery and clothing, to 1970s coloured glassware, retro furniture and soft furnishings, lamps, crockery, vases, clocks and unique home décor, as well as newer pieces.
Now trading for a little over 12 months, Christine says it's been heartening to receive such a warm welcome from the Lismore community.: "We opened at the end of September last year, post-flood. Locals were grateful and saw our move as an optimistic one for their town. We brought beauty and intrigue into the Keen St shopping precinct."
The store is about to receive a collection of quality Christmas decorations and accessories for the festive home and ideal for gifts:"these delightful decorations enhance the store in a different and uplifting way for this period of trading.
"Our focus is on and making the shopping experience at Adornments memorable, with a focus on customer service. We are happy to gift wrap purchases if required.
