JULES Hunt has always been creative. As a little girl, she loved to paint and sew. “I loved doing anything creative,” Hunt said.

“That whole process from thinking of what I wanted to create, through the design process and to the finished piece, it was just so exciting.”

When she finished school, Hunt had the choice of either pursuing a career in fine arts or graphic design.

She chose graphic design because “she thought it would make for a better career”.

However 15 years ago, hunt’s passion for using her hands to create something tangible and beautiful led her to designing ceramics full-time in Sydney.

She worked from her home studio and sold her colourful, signature ceramic pieces to galleries.

Ten years ago Hunt, partner Chris and children Lachlan, now 17, and Rosabella (aka Pickle), 16, made the seachange to Byron Bay.

She opened a studio in the Byron Bay Arts and Industrial Estate and then in 2010 she expanded her creative interests to include a line of fashion wear.

“Designing fashion was another avenue for me to extend my creative range and talents,” she said.

“I also designed and created a textile range of soft furnishings including cushions covers, curtains and upholstery.”

The range incorporates Hunt’s love of bold colours, stunning geometric designs and nature.

She is passionate about the design process and says her designs “come to me in my dreams”.

At the beginning of 2018, Hunt’s fashion journey took a new road with the introduction of her vibrant Honey Hunt Style range of leggings and longer-style T-shirt dresses and skirts.

The colourful range of leggings are Australian made, something of which she is very proud.

“The designs for the leggings range are transposed from my original and unique artworks and, not only do they look sensational but they are just so comfortable to wear,” she said.

“The leggings are designed for women of all ages and all shapes and are perfect for chilling at home on the lounge, for
