O’brien Electrical and Plumbing 2019 Lismore Cup

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 19 The Lismore Cup will have plenty of fresh and exciting things happening on and off the track in 2019.

A Racing NSW initiative has awarded the Cup an increase in prizemoney, with the race now worth $75,000 – up from $50,000.

There are another three races on the day that have increased prizemoney from $30,000 to $50,000: the Rousillon Handicap, the Untamed Sprint and the Country Magic race, which is exclusive to country-trained horses.

Already a showcase event, the remaining four races on Lismore Cup Day are each worth $30,000.

This takes the total prizemoney of Lismore Cup Day to $345,000.

Along with an impressive increase in prizemoney is the addition of some new events alongside the track.

The Moet & Chandon Marquee will be the premier location on Cup day with tickets priced at $250 per person.

Catered by the award-winning team at The Loft Restaurant Lismore, the Moet & Chandon Marquee will feature a premium five-hour drinks package including the famous champagne.

For those looking for some more fun track-side, the Furphy Garden Party will also be in full swing.

This new enclosure on Lismore Cup Day will be located in the garden corners of the Lismore Turf Club and will feature a private bar with outdoor seating and a live band playing throughout the afternoon.

The Garden Party punters also receive a lunch voucher to the food truck of their choice and a drink on arrival, which is all included in the $60 ticket price.

Tickets for both the Furphy Garden Party and Moet & Chandon Marquee can be purchased at www.lismoretickets.com.au.
