WHAT NOT TO MISS AT SAMPLE
Learn from some of the region’s best culinary creators at Sample’s workshops and cook-offs
ALONG with sampling the best food the region has to offer, there’s plenty to do around Sample. The TAFE Celebrity Stage cook-offs include Chupacabra chef Evan White and Luca Ciano at 9.30am, PLB Group executive chef Matt Kemp (Taverna, Bombay Cricketers Club, Osteria, Ancora) and Bang Bang head Chef Tyler Preston at 10.30am.
The main cooking stage program includes a 9.30am masterclass from Nimbin
Valley Dairy.
At 10.30am is vegan made easy with vegan chef trainer Veet Karen, who will demonstrate how easy and delicious vegan cooking can be. She will show audiences how to make vegan butter, two vegan cheeses, a creamy vegan carbonara sauce for pasta and a vegan omelette. During the cooking demonstration she will also share how to make vegan food nutritious and filling.
At 11.30am there will be the Golden Fork winners presentation with celebrity judges Matt Moran, Federico Zanellato and Alex Labart.
At 11.45am, enjoy the prosciutto di parma masterclass with Luca Ciano.
For those feeling thirsty, at 12.30pm Lord Byron Distillery, Husk Distillery and Cape Byron Distillery will be hosting a cocktail masterclass and demonstration.
