Side car File

Any adjustments that you make to a photo in Capture NX-D are stored in a separate file. This lives in a NKS_PARA M folder that shares the same folder as your edited image.

raw

Different camera manufacturers use their own image processing formats to capture a RAW image file. Nikon RAW files have a .NEF (from Nikon D-SLR s) or .NRW (from Nikon Coolpix cameras) suffix.
