1 Play white noise

Newborns spend most of their time asleep, which is usually what we want – but any commotion might disturb their sleep. A white noise track is fitting for relaxing babies, as it recreates the sound of the womb. You can play a white noise track on your phone or tablet.

2 Heat the room

If you’re planning on taking off their clothes or blankets, the room you’re shooting in should be heated – warm enough so you’ll only need a light shirt. Bring along a portable heater and, if necessary, position it close to your makeshift set without it intruding on the frame.
