Pro’s killer kit profoto A1
There’s a strict ‘no flash’ rule when shooting live performances, but Tracey often shoots the band before or after the gig, in which case she reaches for her Profoto A1. It’s basically a hotshoe-mounted studio light, which gives much more flattering light than flashguns can deliver. She also uses a mini reflector, which she often asks her subject to hold. “As well as producing more balanced light to fill out their features, it helps to ground hyperactive subjects!” she explains.
