Picture Controls

All Nikons offer Picture Controls, like ‘Vivid’ or ‘Monochrome’, but these are applied in-camera when it creates JPEGS, and while Nikon Capture NX-D will recognize these settings in the Raw file, third-party software will not! It can be useful to pick a style, though, especially if you shoot JPEGS too, as a reference for later.
