Wrestlers train on a beach in Dakar. Wrestling is the number one national sport in Senegal, and has also become a means of social ascendancy. It’s not just seen as a sport, it is also a slice of African life, tradition, and culture, in which there is a mix of animist and Muslim beliefs.

Ice Fishing Hut

Underwater Galaxy

Diamond squid are all over the tropical oceans, yet no one had taken images of a paralarva in the shallow waters of Anilao Bay. After trying different compositio­ns, Songda captured this symmetrica­l photo with tentacles extended.
