Down under the moon

-

With regards to the picture of the full moon in the July 2020 NPOTY (N-photo 112) by Amy Murphey, have you published the shot upside down? Ace shot, though! I’ve attached my own shot using a D750 and Sigma 150-600mm lens. Michael Wilkinson

We printed Amy’s photo as it was submitted to the competition. Whether the moon is the ‘right’ way up or not depends on the hemisphere. We asked the folks responsible for the online editions who have told us that it would require a big redesign of the app in order to also include the issue number. We refer to the issues internally by number, and this is printed on the cover, rather than the month/year, but appreciate that this can be confusing. From now on we’ll reference both number and month!
