Jellyfish Trails
HENLEY SPIERS
Long, graceful tentacles indicate the path the jellyfish has taken swimming close to the surface in the Philippines. This photo shows the strong contrast between the black water and white sky, with the view through the socalled Snell window, a phenomenon in which the underwater observer sees everything above the surface through a cone of light.
