Activate the function

To enable focus peaking on a DSLR, you’ll need to be in Live View mode. Press the ‘i’ button and navigate the menu on the right-hand side until you see ‘Peaking’. On a Z series, focus peaking can be found within the Custom Settings menu and the ‘d Shooting/display’ menu under ‘Peaking Highlights’. Set the sensitivity to 2 and then choose a peaking colour. Generally, red or blue stand out well.
