Che original Camranger camera remote was a compact box of tricks that connected to Nikon DSLRS via USB, and used Wi-fi to wirelessly connect to a smart device or computer.

Camranger 2 adds dual-band Wi-fi capable of a max 433Mbps at up to 500 feet, enabling you to view captured Raw files almost instantaneously on your remote device. It also has an SD slot, to automatically back up your camera’s memory card.

With the Camranger app you can remotely adjust camera settings, watch your camera’s Live View feed, tap to focus and, of course, remotely fire the shutter. You can also pre-program timelapse sequences with the option of bulb ramping, and perform automatic focus stacking.

It’s powered by a userreplaceable 3300mah Li-ion cell capable of around five hours usage.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Being able to see your Nikon’s Live View feed remotely has all sorts of applications, and automatic backup will be a bonus to those with only a single card slot.
