White balance

It’s possible to buy lens caps or filters with an integrated white balance reference. Companies like Kood make them to fit all sorts of lenses, so search for one that fits your lens’s filter thread. The idea is that you can use it to set a custom white balance in-camera or hold it in a test shot for use as a reference point when editing. You can use the White Balance Eyedropper in Adobe Camera Raw or Lightroom to click on the white part of the lens cap to set the white balance. You should then be left with perfectly accurate colours, which you can sync with your other pictures from the same shoot.
