Make sure you pack enough layers to withstand all weather conditions and wear a comfortable pair of hiking boots that provide adequate support when walking on uneven terrain. I recommend using a pair of poles too. They make ascending and descending much easier, especially if you’re carrying a heavy camera bag that can offset your balance. If you’re shooting at sunrise or sunset, you’ll be walking to or from the location in the dark. A head torch is therefore a necessity since you’ll be walking on uneven ground and potentially near hazardous drops.
