When adding contrast with Curves, the steeper you make the line between anchor points, the more contrast you add to the tones in that part of the image. To do this, you will need to add many more anchor points than normal. These additional anchor points help you control exactly where you place the ‘steep’ part of the curve. Carefully look at the histogram to identify the tones you want to edit, then add anchor points to add a steeper curve at just that area of the image graph.
