Expert Tip
For high-iso shots, it’s crucial that you reduce any ISO noise in the image before any sharpeningbased edits. Applying tools such as Sharpness, Unsharp Mask or Contrast before you use noise reduction will result in sharper noise. To see the high-iso noise in your shot, temporarily raise the exposure of the image to make the noise reduction process easier. If your image was shot at night or in low-light conditions, this will also help you see any colour noise.
