WD Elements Desktop

WD is an established name in the hard drive business, and though the Elements Desktop is based around a conventional HD rather than a speedy SSD, the upside is you pay far less per gigabyte. You’ll still find transfer speeds quick enough for transferring high-res images and HD video, with USB 3.1 connectivity maintaining speed and wide compatibility with most computers. Capacities range from 4TB to a huge 14TB, but we reckon the 8TB version is the best value. PROS Competitive pricing; loads of capacities CONS Not the fastest performer
