Be prepared

In her approach to landscapes, Edyta adopts a simple statement of intent. She first develops her vision on what she wants and then begins her research. She starts with a location’s website to find out information such as: access, weather, seasons and any potential hazard that she should be aware of. Next, she researches images already taken of that spot, giving her an insight into the potential of a given area. She pays particular interest to changing light at different times of a day, seasonal changes, effects of weather and framing. Once Edyta finds a location, she makes repeated visits, documenting in her journal what she has seen to refresh her knowledge when she gets back, fully prepared to realize her vision.
