Andy Parkinson Profile
Based in rural Derbyshire, Andy Parkinson is a feature contributor to National Geographic magazine and a Nikon Europe Ambassador. He is the most acclaimed photographer in the history of the British Wildlife Photography Awards, winning four categories and 27 individual awards. Andy’s most recent success came in 2020, as the winner of the Big Picture Natural World contest, conducted by the California Academy of Sciences. He works exclusively with animals and birds that are wild and free, and is known for his views on photography ethics, conservation, animal rights and environmental issues.
