A bit fishy
was interested to read your review of the Sigma 8mm f/3.5 EX DG Circular Fisheye in your Secondhand Superstar column, in the September 2021 issue (N-photo 128).
I had been looking out for one for some time when I spotted one listed on LCE’S website at my local store.
Within half an hour I was walking out with it.
I have found it to be very sharp across most of the image, but it does suffer from fringing around the top half, which needs correcting. I use DXO Photolab 4 for most of my Raw tweaks, but they don’t have a module for this lens, which means I have to do it manually. In spite of this, I’ve been pleased with it and a few of the shots from it have already been accepted for several international exhibitions, with the shot of Halnaker Windmill having gained an award in one.
