PRO KIT BEANBAG
Adrian says… You won’t find a more straightforward piece of camera gear than a beanbag. Mine was fashioned from a piece of camouflage fabric, but I’ve known photographers use a sealed bag of rice. The beanbag comes into its own when your tripod isn’t suitable for a particular location. It might be too big to fit into a small space or atop a small ledge, or you might want to get your camera as close to the ground as possible for a super-low-angle perspective. Beanbags are much more than a soft surface to help protect your camera from dust, dirt and scratches though. Their pliable nature allows them to cradle your camera, which provides more stability than placing your camera on a hard surface.
