Lens of choice 24-70mm f/2.8 standard zoom

-

With larger venues often comes more light, and the ability to switch the fast prime for a zoom lens with a slightly narrower aperture. A 24-70mm f/2.8 will give you the flexibility to vary between wide shots that capture multiple band members or any in-yourface artist moments at its widest, while picking off more frame-filling classic action portraits or images of more distant drummers at its longest. This lens’s aperture may not be quite as fast as the nifty fifty, but it does provide a bit more depth of field, helping to ensure artists remain clearly in focus.
