Trigger happy
As well as avoiding a trailing sync cable, a wireless trigger typically enables you to alter the power output of one or more flash heads remotely. There’s even more versatility when using a Nikondedicated remote trigger with one of the battery-powered flash kits. They enable TTL flash metering, so that the power output is set automatically. High speed sync also becomes available, so that you can use fast shutter speeds exceeding the flash sync speed of your camera. Preferred triggers are the Phottix Odin II TTL for the Elinchrom ELB 500 kit as well as for the Rotolight AEOS LED panel, the Interfit HSS TTL for the Honey Badger Unleashed, and the Profoto Air Remote TTL for the B10 Plus.
