How much editing and retouching do you make to your images?

The greatest amount of work is done prior to the shot, so I try to make sure that the photograph is exactly the way I want it to be at the time of shooting. When I see it enlarged on the computer, if I see something that I do not like or that is not correct, I do it again. The editing is minimal: white balance adjustment, black adjustment, a bit of brightness, and finally an unsharp mask. Then I send the photos to the lab to be printed and they do not need to do anything else.
