Pair your Nikon with Snapbridge

-

Open the app

Press the Menu button on your Nikon camera and use the D-pad to select the Setup Menu (wrench icon). Scroll down to ‘Connect to smart device’ and hit the OK button. This will bring up a prompt on your camera’s rear LCD that tells you to install the Snapbridge app. Simply open the app and select ‘Connect to camera’.

Crack the code

You will then be presented with a list of compatible Nikons. Select the desired category and then tap your device in the Pair With Camera menu. Select your device again via the Select An Accessory window to initiate a Bluetooth Pairing Request; a six-digit code on your device should match the one displayed on your camera’s LCD.

Make the connection

When you tap ‘Pair’ on your smart device, press the OK button on your camera and the rear LCD will state: ‘Connected to smart device’. You will then be asked if you want to download location data and sync the camera’s clock with your smart device to enable accurate geotagging in your camera’s EXIF data.

Take Snapbridge for a spin!

Once you’re connected to your camera you can start to enjoy everything Snapbridge has to offer: control your camera remotely, view and download JPEG and Raw files, download movies, automatically download a 2-megapixel version of each image you take, apply and customize image credits and more!
