Point-of-view imagery
An effect technique when photographing the travel experience is to shoot a point-of-view photograph. This emulates what someone would see if they were in the position of the photographer or, indeed, the active participant. Get in close to the action, shoot with a wider focal length and try to emulate the view of the person looking at the scene. You can also try to include the hands or arms of your subject to make your audience feel that they have been transported into the action.
