AINES Hunter has launched the latest addition to its popular R-Series, the all-new 650R.

Displayed as a concept vessel on last year’s boat show circuit, Haines Hunter’s research and development department has spent the past six months fine-tuning the design to deliver everything serious offshore anglers demand.

Measuring 6.75m LOA, beam 2.40m, and with a hull-only weight of 1300kg, the R-Series new flagship is a serious ocean-going vessel with a transom rating up to a massive 390kg / 260hp, in single-or twinengine configuration.

Incorporating Haines Hunter’s 210 Performance Deadrise Vee (PDV) hull, the 650R delivers superior performance and handling proven during rigorous testing in both inshore and offshore conditions.

The low-profile cabin inherent in every R-Series adds to the new model’s sporty feel and allows excellent vision at the helm, without compromising cockpit space for maximum fishability.

HCapable of accommodating six large adult anglers in comfort, the enormous cockpit (with optional side door) creates an ideal offshore fishing and diving platform, while the huge cabin bunk length of 1.88m provides a welcome escape from the elements or a cavernous storage area for all manner of gear.

Along with all the standard fishing features for which Haines Hunter is renowned — stainless steel rod holders, wide side pockets, infloor fish well and more — the 650R’s completely redesigned dash (capable of housing three large marine electronic displays), extra longrange 240-litre fuel tank and twin live bait tanks will strike a particular chord among experienced anglers.

The new 650R is also available in a Hardtop version the stylish and functional fibreglass hardtop supported by sturdy 32mm stainless steel framework.

Only premium quality materials and fittings are used throughout, with all hulls backed by a sevenyear structural warranty.
